Wide Run is a north to south strip of grassland, narrow in the north where it is confined to cool Nrassh foothills, broadening out as the temperature drops in the south. Unlike the other territories on Hashun, it doesn't have a single point where the Archetype lives. Most of the Archetypes have been wanderers who live on a regular circuit of the territory, moving from den to den with the seasons. Karill is one of the stationary inhabitants. She lives in an expansive underground den situated in the Run's southeast point, close to Dead Vault's main entrance and also the temperate forests. This is for the benefit of her mate, a Forest kiarr.
The Archetype of the Grasslands
Karill's colouration is simple - a bright cherry red coat with jet black mane and sky blue archetype marks. Her right eye is missing, forcing her face into a permanent wink. It's an old injury with no sign of scarring, but the eye is gone for good. Not even an Archetype can restore a missing body part. Karill takes this ambiguity as an excuse to make up all sorts of wild tales as to what happened, and if you ask about it, she'll give you a completely different answer from one day to the next. Karill is excitable and highly curious. Her territory borders upon the Dead Vault, and she often works alongside Imarr, the Cave Archetype, with various experiments and devices. The two aren't friends and don't even get along, but they share a certain respect for one another that comes out of a shared desire to find out what makes the world tick. Or explode, as the case may be.
That probably explains the eye. But still, don't expect a straight answer.
