From the map, you'd be forgiven for thinking Hashun's northernmost lobe of land is an island. It's not, although it probably was in the past. A narrow isthmus, barely a mile wide at its slimmest point, joins it to the mainland. The crossing is artificially maintained, kept in good condition by kiarrcats of various species that specialise in rock and water based magic.
This northern lobe of land is characterised by dramatic wet and dry seasons, transitioning from open plains in the southwest, through to thorn bush and a sliver of monsoon wood along the northeastern coast. It is carved through by a broad river that cuts a shallow but wide vale known as the Valley of the Sun, and it is here that Copper Rock lies. An immense rock formation that seems to glow in the dusty sunset and sunrise light, Copper Rock is dominated by a cave pitted spire that lies within the centre of a maze of crags and outcrops, which form excellent dens and hiding places. Much of the structure appears to be natural, but it has been carved and shaped so much that there is no telling where the natural formations end and the kiarr's modifications begin.
The Archetype of the Savannah
Hesi is a big kiarr with a big personality to match. Friendly and outspoken, he gives the impression that life is one big party and everyone is invited. Of all the Archetypes he is closest to Cecerin, whom he considers a brother. The two are of similar ages and grew up together as a result. Much like Cecerin, he remembers nothing of his previous life; Copper Rock has always been his home.
